Earlier in the 2014-15 playoffs, Brandon Prust spoke out following a loss to the Tampa Bay Lightning. It wasn’t about the game. Instead it was about a single event that took place during the game – one involving a referee.

According to Prust, referee Brad Watson had some choice words for the Montreal Canadiens forward. Following the game and his 31 PIMs in that game, Prust talked about the altercation with Watson sharing with the media what was said between the two.

This edition of Tape2Tape talks about the codes of hockey and whether or not Prust broke one of hockey’s age-old codes in the process of sharing on-ice ramblings.
