Is it possible that impatience does pay off? I don’t know. But if it were up to the president of MLSE, I’d say he would agree with that particular statement. After all, Tim Leiweke has shown a history of winning during his tenure in Los Angeles. He helped bring championships to the Lakers, the Galaxy and the Kings. 

He’s made his first moves with the Maple Leafs, bringing in a new president in the form of Brendan Shanahan. Leiweke may seem impatient in the way he handles his teams, but it’s worked in the past and he brings a winning culture to a team that’s struggled in that department as of late.
