Technically, he’s in his fourth season with the Toronto Maple Leafs – at least that’s how many season’s Nazem Kadri’s played a game with the big club. But this past offseason, the Leafs signed the young forward to a two-year “bridge” deal that Kadri held out for.

While many fans still argue that Kadri hasn’t lived up to expectations, or the deal, I argue that he’s done just that and that we should expect more from him in the coming years. This alone is why the Leafs should definitely not trade him this year or in the near future.

Sure, the young player’s had his ups and downs. But it’s time for the Leafs to stand by their picks and develop the players the same way the Detroit Red Wings have. For more, check out my full story.
