The Toronto Maple Leafs were down 4-2 to the Ottawa Senators on Saturday. Not long after, the boxscore read 5-4 for the Leafs following a shootout. So what happened? What went right that the Leafs were able to pull out the win and defeat the Senators after being down by two goals. 

Any Leaf fan knows that comebacks haven’t been part of the team’s playbook over the past couple of seasons. So what are they going to have to remember – to repeat – if they find themselves in a similar position this season?

I took a look at the game and here’s what I came up with.
