The 2012-2013 class of Western University’s journalism program worked together to delve into the under-covered topic of citizen science over the past three months.

Broken into a seven-part series published on both Rabble and The Tyee, it’s a project that looks at the role of average people in science and data collection. 

I worked alongside colleagues Emily Leighton, Josef Jacobson, Katie Starr and Kristin Duncan to give readers a look – and a listen – at the history of citizen science.
